Labour Day Weekend!

We had an awesome labour day weekend! For us, it was a four day event. Our adventures began Thursday night with a visit to Pat and JP's on bikes/rollerblades. We road home (about 8 o'clock) with the full moon rising. Norah pointed to the moon and said "moon has light on". Early Friday morning, we headed out to the Detroit Zoo! Norah was happy to see the Rhino - she said "Look at bum". Norah was also happy to see that "giraffe have long neck". On our way home from the Zoo, we stopped at Chucky Cheese's. Norah LOVED it there! She even danced on stage with Chucky.

On Saturday, we headed to the cottage after Norah's nap. On the way there we smelled a 'kunk (skunk) which Norah enjoyed sniffing multiple times and asking "Mommy smell 'kunk too"; she would giggle as I sniffed. We we arrived at the cottage Norah was excited to see her cousins Zach, Elza, Nolan, Morgan and Max (who Norah now calls Maxie). That night we had a "fireplace" (aka campfire) and listened to the tree frogs. Norah saw stars in the dark night sky. Norah was so excited that it was 10:30pm before she fell asleep - and not until she saw all of her cousins sleeping soundly.

The next morning, the first words out of Norah's mouth was "go beach". She had a BLAST at the beach swimming, digging and running around. She saw sail boats in the lake which she called "rocket ships". Norah even had a two hour nap at the beach in her little pop up tent.

It truly was a great weekend.......Brian just asked me "what should we do next weekend?". My response was "I don't know.....this weekend will be pretty hard to top!".......I'll have to put my thinking cap on!
