We had a great weekend. Friday night we went to RibFest. Norah LOVED the ribs!! She also enjoyed playing at the playground and coloring in the kid's area there.
Saturday morning we headed to the cottage. As we were getting ready I started singing "Zoom Zoom Zoom we're going to the___________", expecting Norah to say "moon". Instead, she said "Cottage". Too smart! We headed to the beach on Saturday -it was pretty windy and cool so we just dug in the sand - no water play. After nap on Saturday we headed to the playground in Port Franks. Norah loved it! Norah also had a great time playing with all of the toys in the basement. Some of her favorite things at the cottage were a little fold up chair that she found in the basement and wanted to bring it upstairs, and she also liked the scooters. This weekend I also learned that Norah does not like toys that wind up and move - they scare her, she says "too loud".
On Sunday, we headed back to the playground and the beach. This time the weather was warm and Norah was able to go swimming. She wasn't sure about the water at first. But once she was comfortable at the beach she was right in there....walked right up to her underarms! We also dug a "big hole" and filled it with water! We had a great time! On the way home from the cottage Norah started saying "see Nana" repeatedly....for about 40 minutes of the drive........so we dropped into see Nana on our way home! It was a great way to end our weekend.
